Randall “Randy” Paul Allison, age 67, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, passed from this life on Monday, September 21, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

A native of Shelbyville, Randy was born on December 8, 1958, to the late Paul Edward Allison and Nancy Louise Wright Allison. He was a 1977 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, where he played baseball, football, and wrestled. Shortly after graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Marcia McBride, and together they shared 45 years of marriage while raising their daughters, Amanda and Ashley.

Randy dedicated 39 years to Cooks Pest Control, serving as a pest control supervisor. He was also formerly an active member of the Jaycees. Known to many as “Plow” Randy was a devoted University of Tennessee Volunteers football fan. Some of his fondest memories were made at home, hosting countless tailgate gatherings at “Plow’s Place.” An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing to the fullest. Above all, Randy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Marcia McBride Allison; daughters, Amanda (Nick Goerisch) Allison and Ashley Allison, both of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Nolan, Payzlei, and Ella Allison; siblings, Rita (Bob) McBee of Shelbyville, Renee (Roger) Clanton of Unionville, and Ricky (Laura) Allison of Wartrace; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, in the chapel of Doak Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gray officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family kindly requests that those attending wear orange in honor of Randy’s beloved Tennessee Volunteers.
